“ARC Expressions”
God expresses Himself in ways that no one
else can. Often, He makes Himself known most effectively through nature and
those quiet times when we are away from the distractions of life.
The ministry of the ARC has been a place where God has revealed Himself to many of your families and youth through various camps and retreats. Here is their chance to share with others how God has blessed you through the ministry of the ARC.
We are looking for people who are willing to share their testimony of how God used the ARC to help them grow in their walk with God. These testimonies can be written, or done by video. Here’s how “ARC Expressions” works:
† Interested persons should first write out their testimony. This can be of any length, but 3-7 pages works best. This opportunity is open to anyone, but those under 18 should probably share their idea with a parent or guardian. Some things to remember to include:
1. FOR REFERENCE ONLY: Please include personal information.
§ Full Name (and name of parents if under 18)
§ Address
§ Email (optional)
2. Camp you attended and approximate date (if you remember).
3. A brief summary of why you went to camp in the first place.
4. Was there a song or message that got you thinking of your relationship with God?
5. So….what happened? (some idea starters)
§ Salvation experience: What got you to realize you needed Jesus?
§ Rededication? When did you accept Jesus? (Can be a general time, i.e.: when I was three years old…)
† WRITTEN SUBMISSIONS: Send your submission to the ARC by snail mail (The ARC; 2372 30th Avenue; Osceola, WI 54020) or email (arcadvancement@centurytel.net). We will then share this testimony, or parts of it, with people who want to hear how God is working. Names will not be used in order to protect your privacy.
† VIDEO SUBMISSIONS: Video submissions can be done in one of two ways.
1. After submitting your written submission to the ARC we will schedule a time for videotaping you during your next visit to camp.
2. If your church or someone in your church has the capabilities to do the taping, we invite you to tape the presentation and send it to us electronically or on a DVD through the mail.
3. Suggestions for doing the taping yourself:
· FIRST NAME ONLY please. We want to protect the privacy of each person.
· Audio is the most important aspect of the tape. If you have an external jack on the camera for audio, we suggest that you use that and a lapel microphone.
· Background is at your discretion. However, we suggest that you use close up shots of the person being taped. Make them the central focus of the presentation.
If you have any further questions or suggestions please contact Mike Fisk at the ARC by phone (800-294-2877) or email (arcadvancement@centurytel.net). Persons submitting written and/or video testimonies agree to allow the ARC to use those submissions for written, verbal or online promotional purposes.
