	'Keep the ARC Covered' Campaign

	Over 12,000 people visit the ARC every year for retreats, camps, family reunions and a variety of other events. People are attracted to the ARC because of its clean facilities, great food and safe, quiet environment. These things enable people of God to be refreshed in their spiritual walk and return to their homes, churches and communities with a new desire to live for Him. In 2008 the ARC is looking for people willing to partner with the ARC in strengthening our families, churches and communities. In order to preserve the safety and comfort of our guests the ARC is looking to raise $100,000.00 from our ministry partners. While ARC rental fees cover the operational costs of putting on a retreat or camp, they don't cover capital improvements and maintenance needs at the camp. Your gift allows us to keep our rental fees competitive so that more people can experience God in a new and vital way through an ARC retreat.

	Two of our dorms, House of Daniel and Shunem, are in need of new roofs. The current asphalt roofing on these buildings have outlived their life expectancy (10-15 years). Funds raised through this campaign will allow us to put new, steel roofing on these buildings. While the new steel roofing will cost more initially, the life expectancy of a steel roof is 50-75 years and is much easier to maintain. The cost for putting new roofs on Daniel and Shunem will be $20,000.00 each, or a total cost of $40,000.00.

	The ARC is committed to becoming and remaining a debt-free ministry. The remaining funds raised through the 'Keep the ARC Covered' campaign will be used to supplement our general fund. These funds may be used for capital improvements such as carpeting and painting rooms as needed, repairs and general maintenance, and equipment purchases which will make it easier to meet the ever changing needs of our groups. Your financial support of the ARC is really a gift to support the work of many local churches and Para-church groups that bring people the ARC for spiritual rest and refreshment. In 2007 over 700 people made first-time decisions for Christ. Many more made decisions to follow him more closely. People of all ages and denominational backgrounds have found the rest only Christ can offer, through an ARC retreat. Don't forget.
